Hey everyone, I just wanted to put out  a few updates. Edmond Pix is going through some exciting changes, and we look forward to doing lots of parties as we near the end of 2010. We most recently accommodated to a party at Lifechurch.tv on NW Expressway, and overall things went great! There were a lot of excited kids there eager to get their pictures taken with our many props. I’d like to deliver a special ‘thank you’ to Anna and her team for putting on an awesome party, and making our event as easy as possible.

We have updated our prices in the ‘Packages’ section; the prices are effective Sept. 1, 2010 and we have made the chart a little easier to read. The most welcome change is the addition of web galleries. Before, that was a feature that cost for certain packages, but it is now INCLUDED FREE with all packages. When we say ‘web gallery’ some clients are unaware of what that is, so I’ll explain. The photos that are taken in an Edmond Pix photo booth are saved to the hard drive of the computer inside. When we takedown and leave the event, we get the files put on to the Internet that SAME NIGHT. There are a variety of places online to choose from, and ultimately the decision is yours; Facebook is our most popular place to upload the photos. Of course, some people are not comfortable with the web gallery, but since it is now free, you can simply decline the service. Also, it’s worth mentioning that if some photos are a little too risqué, we will consult you, the client, before posting them.

Many have been asking if we are available for Christmas parties, school dances, etc., and we are fairly open in November and December right now! If you’re interested, please give us a call, and we will let you know if your date is still available. Keep in mind we do offer FOUR AFFORDABLE PACKAGES that can accommodate to anyone’s budget or time constraints. Photo booths are an excellent way to get people out of their shell a bit, and taking some awesome photos that will become an instant memory of your event. Let us cater to your event today! Our number once again, is (405) 445-4PIX.

We just got some videos posted! The first video is of the photo booth itself, without the curtain. The second one is my wife demonstrating the scrapbook. I’m working on getting both videos posted here as well, but for now check them out on our Facebook. While you are there, be sure to push the ‘Like’ button, and review us if you have used our booths in the past.

UPDATE: The videos have been posted in a tab titled ‘Videos/Pictures’.

Recently on my Twitter (@EdmondPix) I announced a contest. Basically, if you are one of the first 100 people to follow @EdmondPix on Twitter, you will get a 10% off discount. If you are the ONE HUNDREDTH follower, you will get to use my services up to a Gold Package, at 100% OFF, absolutely FREE. These are the very simple rules for that contest:

1) One entry per person. (No multiple Twitter accounts allowed.)

2) 10% off coupon valid until May 1, 2011.

3) Retweeting (RT) the contest message will give you an additional 1% off, up to 20% off. (EXAMPLE: Follow @ Edmond Pix, 10% off; RT message about contest, 1% off; RT message 26 times, 20% off; HIGHEST TOTAL DISCOUNT = 30% off.)

4) The contest ends June 30, 2010, with or without 100 followers. If there are not 100 followers by that point, another contest will happen shortly thereafter, and considerations will be made to assist the first 100 followers.

Also, it is worth mentioning that if you went to the Norman Bridal Show, and have not yet looked at your photos, simply go to Facebook.com/EdmondPix and take a look at the photos. Feel free to comment, and be sure to ‘Like’ our page to get updates.

Well, after the drive to Norman, we pulled up to the OU Memorial Union Ballroom. We had no idea how the day would go, but it seems like we brought every little thing, just in case anything went wrong. Luckily, there was an elevator to help Abe and I get the photo booth up to the third floor. My fiancée Tess and I were able to situate everything nicely, and I changed into my suit. The hour was approaching, and my jitters were getting worse. But alas, it was soon 1:00 and my first potential customers of the day walked by. I offered them the free photo print, and they accepted (most people did). Luckily, all went well, and before we knew it we had passed out hundreds of flyers, price lists, and about 70 photos had been taken.

All in all, the bridal show went well, and I was so glad to meet so many great people. There was a family that told me a story of how a wedding coordinator had ripped them off, and they couldn’t believe how affordable our prices were. There was another couple that was renewing vowes in the summer. And there were quite a few questions here and there, but the number one question was, “How are you so much more affordable than the others?” I’ll tell you all a secret. I’m in it to make folks happy, and still make a living. Yes, I operate a business. No, I don’t need a huge markup. Also, the others charge more because they likely use more expensive equipment. Mine does the job, and quite well. I’m able to keep costs lower, therefore I don’t need to charge $1200 for four hours. I’M NOT KNOCKING THE COMPETITION. In fact, the couple who started OKC’s Finest Photobooth, Dave and Lorie if I recall, came over and offered advice, and even let us try out their photo booth. And it seems like they started their company the same way we started ours – an affordable solution to the competetion, and to have a photo booth at the wedding.

The day was quite a learning experience, and I really hope to do business with all the lovely folks that we talked to throughout the day. I will have photos up soon of all the people that went through the booth, so check back often for news/photos. Also, if you’re on Twitter, please follow us to find out the latest news/offers. Our Twitter name is @EdmondPix, and we update often.

Well the time has finally come upon us. As most of you know, Edmond Multimedia LLC has been in the starting phase for a little while, and as of today at 1:00 PM, the business is taking it up a notch. Our Edmond Pix photo booth rental will be at the Norman okbride.com Bridal Show, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! We have been working ’round the clock to ensure everyone can receive a free photo print, and get promotional materials if they want. This is a big step, so hopefully plenty of you will join us, and have us cater to your special event!

Remember, we aren’t just for weddings, but for ANY party! And we don’t JUST do photo booth rentals, but also do other services, like graphic design and social media marketing. Take a look around the site, and comment or email us on any questions or comments you have. We look forward to meeting with you on Sunday, or anytime in the future!
